Ordering sampling kits
Ordering eDNA sampling kits and analysis from Wilderlab is done through our online ordering portal. You choose your kits and analysis, generate a quote or invoice, and we send your kits out ready for the field. Here's how it works.
1 Choose your sampling kit
We offer a range of kits for water, soil, specimen, and surface sampling. Browse our kit options to find the one that suits your sampling environment, or contact us if you're not sure which is right for your project.
2 Choose your analysis
Select the analysis panel that fits your monitoring goals. See our analysis options for more details. If you add analysis when you order, it's prepaid and attached to your kits, so there's nothing extra to pay when you submit your samples.
3 Generate a quote or place an order
Log in to our ordering portal (you just need an email and password to create an account), select your kits and analysis, and generate a quote or place an order.
4 Receive your kits and get sampling
Once we receive your order, your kits will be shipped out within 72 hours. You will then receive an invoice with tracking information and our bank details for payment. After you've collected your samples, submit the metadata online before sending them to our lab.
How many kits do I need?
eDNA can be patchy in the water, so a single sample can miss things. For most routine biomonitoring, we recommend six replicate samples per site.
Already have your own filters?
If you've collected samples with a non-Wilderlab filter, our BYO filter kit includes preservative, gloves, and shipping-safe tubes, and lets us scan your samples straight in when they reach the lab.
